what i dont know is how much has to match on the donor PCB?

mung, I know you probably don't want to hear this but I've been through several hdd recoveries and replacing the pcb on hdd is one of the most difficult tasks one can undertake. There are not enough "exact" pcb clones to go around and more than likely if you really want to recover the data you might consider a professional data recovery service. I know it's rather costly but after searching and spending hours reading this was my only conclusion. Good luck. :)

I had a problem with my seagate hard disk, I ordered one pcb on this site and I proved it hddzone.com
I′ve received the board, and I′ve installed it and it worked perfectly. I′ve been able to recover all my files. The service is pretty good.
