I remember dling a lot of games from warez sites back in the day. All direct download type of sites, with no registration, just needed to vote for the site before you could download.

Wish I could remember some of the names, I think one of them was pikachuwarez, lol.

First website... CompuServe (I think), in '92. First "bad" website was either Phrozen Crew or Software Cracking Forum around '98. Oh, the days of snail mail trading.

Well my first p2p type of sharing was a "secret" list of IP addresses that were given by a friend. All you had to do was use yout FTP with an IP and start sorting thru the files on that server. The first torrent site used on the other hand was good ol' TorrentSpy.... Ohhh those were some good times. To bad they were forced to close with a hefty fine.... At the moment i use mainly demonoid.com and highly recommend them to anyone.

P.S. This is my first post YEA........

First actual torrent site I was a member of I think was h33t.com back in early 2006.

There have been some Gnutella indexing sites and DC hubs before that, but the names slip my mind.. and of course http://bitzi.com but I don't know if that counts.

I remember getting music files of some server back in the late 90's, but no name comes to mind.

Audiofind, Gnutmutt which were web based search on the Gnutella network, and Lycos FTP search where you could look up music on different FTP servers, and the supply was endless. Cocacolaforever put up so much music, I loved it!

You mean I can have any song? Wow!
