I came on here looking for some in depth discussion about peering, but all I have had is 'shut up' and a load of abuse.
An excellent example to be setting as 'a mod' as you so clearly stated.
I think I am going to maintain my membership within the forums, but try to steer clear of further dealings with yourslef. Far from the discussions being anywhere near adult and informative I can see these forums are just full of powerhungy mods and people who are quicker to flame than they are to advise. Other forums I have been on would have moved this discussion out of the public forum a long time ago.
This isnt a forum for P2P and sharing. Not any that ive ever used at least.

Lol, thought that might have made you chuckle. Again, it comes down to being about a little laugh about the rep points rather than the content. Any site that favours content has taken the rep system off the forums so it becomes about the discussion rather than the power. But again with the "seriousley dude, lay off the juice" comment it does show the level of in depth discussion that i'm likely to get around here.

yes, the rep system is a joke. But it works to regulate the extra traffic we get these days by making sure that people come here to actually participate in the community and not just "gimme gimme!" at the start in the trading forums.
And really, these forums aren't about file sharing, but more of that we are all here because we like file sharing. We will help those who ask politely, and we appreciate new members all the time. What we don't like is spam advertisements, trolls, trading whores, etc. One thing they all have in common is no avatar, like you. Generally, I can see where some people might feel an avatar is pointless, but its a good way to say "I'm here to stay and have fun." Right now, you have the appearance of all of the above. You told some one to lay off of the mean comments at a spammer, you sassed a mod, and you don't look like you have much more intention of being here longer than it takes to get your precious invites. Do what you will, but you aren't off to a great start. I am forgiving, and I see a drastic change in tone with you last 2 posts, so there is still hope for you. Just don't feel surprised when another mod reads this thread and bans you.
I shall take a banning if it makes anyone feel big/better, and yes I accept that I may have thrown my rather junior weight about in the wrong places. I am lacking an avatar purely for the sake of it always takes me a week or so to get around to doing it.
I am still bemused about the spamming/trading whore comment. A little harsh as I was just offereing some friendly advice based on my experience.... which I did, then got accused of allsorts.
Surely my sticking around to try and fix the sticky mess should say something.
Anyways, hope it all works out on all sides.
Accept and aprreciate your opinions on me, and taken one of themon board (and god i aint syaing which).

wow, signa's stock just skyrocketed in my books. hopefully we've gained a useful contributor to these boards. if not, he'll be out trolled soon enough. time will tell.
