WinMX and Satellite

I 'm having some trouble with my Satellite Adsl Connection and WinMX...WinMX don't start upload nor download. Are there some specific settings for Satellite connections?

I was just browsing a satelite web page and I remember reading that p2p apps were not supported by satelite connections.
But it seems their are 2 types of connection?

do you upload direct to satelite or through a phone line?
The reason it is difficult to work with p2p is that to download your up and down link must be in sync and the way your connection is establised their is a bit of a lag that just makes your connection very unstable.

and wonload through Satellite
maybe these 2 channel aren't Sync?
