    Gran Torino

First off let me say this movie is not quite what i expected but saying that let me follow with: This is one of Clints BEST from the acting right down to the writing.

He plays a credible old school blue collar american who slowly warms to the Hmong family next door despite his die hard racist tendancies.

Who here has seen this movie and thinks it is worth an Oscar Nod?

Yep, one of the best movies ive seen in a long time. Walter is the best character in a movie in like forever. I am a HUGE Eastwood fan so I am loving it! He is the best actor/director ever!

Just a great damn movie. First movie to bring a tear to my eye since Man on Fire.

I love the part where he asks those guys..."Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have messed with? That's me."

Some of the lines are so simple, like "Get off of my lawn!" but Eastwood says them in a way that makes them pop. A fuckin' master! To think he is this old and still able to rock it like this. Amazing!

Yeah, that scene where he killed that guy by putting a bomb up his ass.... that was emotional..... strong! *JK* (the ending was nice)...

I really liked Gran Torino. Great story. I doubt that Clint will get best actor for it though. It was a simple character for him to play. It was Clint being Clint (which is always great).

My vote for best actor goes to Frank Langella in Frost/Nixon. That movie was great. Revolutionary Road was good too.... very strong.

Rarely do actors get awards for acting like bigots. I say Tom Cruise should get it for Tropic Thunder.

Anyone else found the plot pretty similar to Death Sentence? I did. But I was glad to see it didn't end the same way.
Too lazy to Google? No problem.
