ive got about 40 times as many uberstandard albums on my hard drive as gnutella has on its entire network - says it all about gnutella really , nothing but a sad joke.

Seeing how the Uberstandard project was started just a few days ago, it seems like Gnutella2 is making very quick progress. you leech.Originally posted by grab_grab_the_haddock

Sad?
grab_grab_the_haddock, replies like yours make me sad.
If you have 40 times more uberstandard albums, why don't you join in and share them?
A week ago there were none, now 50. You should have 2000 uberstandard albums so we could reach a total 2050 in such a short period !!
Wouldn't that be a great Christmas Gift?

Might be if it were true.

actually i was going by the number on the site, which was 12. this gives me round about 480 albums, which is maybe about right, though i never counted.
And i do share them, but why should i share them on gnutella ? i never download anything from there anyway as the network is crap, so why should i give up my bandwidth for nothing?

I guess I have to agree. Why share your files on crappy network such as Gnutella. A lot of options, but Gnutella is close to the bottom of the list.
You can't triple stamp a double stamp.
The albums are shared at the Gnutella2 Shareaza network.
I never liked Gnutella but Shareaza has made me change my mind. The best Gnutella client by far.
About time you give it a try.

I appreciate your opinion. I've tried Shareaza, i've been connected to 5 G2 hubs. In my opinion, its hardly any better than Gnutella. Gnutella has been around for so long, and look at where it is now, at the bottom of the list. It just doesn't cut it. Its time for me to move on.

G2 is still in beta testing; I estimate it has only 20,000 users. The network itself is as good as Kazaa and harder to shut down than eDonkey or DC.Originally posted by Ken17625

By the way, you only need to connect to 1 G2 hub to get the entire network. That's the magic of the G2 network. =P
If you like Gnutella or not.
Does it matter?.
The number of High quality files is increasing fast. The downloads are speeding up.
Need I say more?
