Try slightly misspelling, combining words if there is more then one in the song or artist name, using lines from the chorus as the song name. Generally stuff like that has helped me get around some of the blocking. Not enough for me to use AG all that much though.
My suggestion would be to get a client for one of the other file sharing networks. Preferably a decentralized one, like Gnutella, as you won't have to worry about your source getting stomped out by The Man.
A good cleint for Gnutella is Gnucleus. It's easy to use, with a unique interface. Theres been a constant stream of updates for it since it was released. It is the basis for such clones as Music Magnet and Morpheus, but without connecting problems or ads and spyware. It's always at the forefront of innovation among the better Gnutella clients. And it's just "not evil".
Another good program is WinMX. Thsi uses it's own p2p network, and can connect to OpenNap servers. They just released version 3.1, and although there have been complaints about it beeing a tad buggy, it is still a very effective tool for the music thief. Search results are detailed, and there seems to be a massive library of content on it's network.
If it's not Gnuke, just say NO.
:wings if you think about it, the blocked songs could very well be
the major line of defense in AG's current lawsuit. They "argue"
against wholesale copyright infringement.
Here is one example that I have found instead of searching for Madonna - which is blocked try searching for Modonna, if any one knows of others list them here for others to utilize or does anyone know of a website that list alternate spellings that work?

Spell it anyway you want...ALL songs are blocked on AG as of TODAY. Anyone want to buy 500 servers...cheap?
All songs are blocked on Ag. I jumped the Napster ship before it went down. I stayed with AG till the end. The only music you're you're likely to find there now is music from Americas' local bands as a way of getting their mucic out to the public.
