    Exclamation damn, help me out!!!

I just got Xolox 1.18 beta 3 and I have just a few questions, so please help me out if you can

    1. How do I know if a search has ended? if it says "Network OK" at the bottom left bar? if not, then how?

    2. How do I know from what user I'm downloading something? I mean, there are no names.

    3. On the far right of the results in the search window there is a heading "score", which is anything between 1-10. What does this mean?

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Within the client click on the 'support' page and read the FAQ.

I will answer your questions anyway :)

    - "1. How do I know if a search has ended? if it says "Network OK" at the bottom left bar? if not, then how? "

A search query can continue to return results as new users log onto the network and others part it. You will get most your results back within the first 60 seconds and once you have begun your download can close that search tab. The download once choosen , will seek out more hosts if needed.

If the file is for something rare then just leave the search tab open and XoloX will periodically research the network.

    - "2. How do I know from what user I'm downloading something? I mean, there are no names. "

Why do you need to know who it comes from? Part of what makes gnutella great is being anonymous. This does not mean there arent ways to identify a user by or that such things would not be implemented.

    - "3. On the far right of the results in the search window there is a heading "score", which is anything between 1-10. What does this mean? "

Search results are rated by Score. This represents how many people on the network XoloX has found with the identical file. The higher the score, the higher success rate you will have in downloading. XoloX is able to download partial files from multiple sources and even begin a transfer from someone in the process of getting the file themselves, allowing downloading with XoloX to surpasses its competition in performance and success rate.

edit - http://www.xolox.nl/faq.html , here is the current FAQ and within the client it can be seen on the 'support' page.

Seems this has been spammed twice in the past few months. Maybe try closing it?
