This was a song back in the early to mid 1980's. The words that I remember go:
"I was walking down the street I saw Mother Goose,
she was drinkin' some vodka and tomato Juice.
I said Hey mama Goose, what you got for me?
She said I got a bag of sinse and a pot of brandy."
Anybody know who done this song or what it's called or anything about it?
Near the end it started getting faster and they kept mentioning famous people like:
"I saw Superman and Lois Lane
they were smokin kryptonite and they went insane.
Like Sanford and Son plus Jake and Elwood,
don't talk to her because she's no good."
like Starsky and Hutch plus you and me
if you close your eyes you will not see."
Here's a few more lines:
"I saw Batman and Robin
they were cruisin in the Batmobile,
so I pulled up beside em
with my tape deck jammin in my '86 Seville
We took a ride through the local park
and to the people we started to wave,
And then Robin stood up & he started to shout
we made em sit in the old batcave
Check it out I went to the party
to shake my rump
I made everybody
in the place jump"

Nice try.
Go peddle your wares someplace else, yo.

You obviously are one very smart super mod indeed.
Actually the post of mine on KeepMusicAlive (a very great forum that I have been a member of for many years) that you linked to was an attempt by me to get any answers about this song.
Here's another from last year: (three posts from the bottom of page)

and one more from 2004:

I have been trying to find info about the song for many years but obviously this isn't a place to come for help in such matters, what with the super mods being so super and all...
Where did I ever try to "peddle" any "wares" anyway?" lol
At least the "dense" part of your name is accurate.
yo!
First of all I think you have the lyrics wrong because I have search the top 10 lyrics search engines and found nothing even close.
Second You should give the mods credit for not banning you if they thought you were peddling warez.

For some reason my brain is telling me I saw the music video, but its such a faint memory I can't seem to remember anything else about it.
Edit: The video I was thinking of was not this song, I think I was remembering Eminem - Without me, blended with some other random imagery from satire shows. As others have posted, my initial assumption seems the most likely. I'm inclined to believe that this guy is promoting himself as no one in their right mind can remember lyrics from 20 years ago with such distinction.
Anyone upset or offended by my post please follow the link and let your opinions be known.

OK, time to battle.
Let's just cut to the chase here. Had you truly been interested in searching for the song at KeepMusicAlive, you wouldn't have posted it in a Poetry thread.
Here's some guesses:
- You wrote the song, possibly as recent as 2004, and by fanboying on forums, eventually hoped someone thought it was a badass jam and would say "Oh yeah....I remember that shizzle."
- A band truly did write it, but it failed so miserably that not any search engine will pull up anything but your posts looking for it. As Feather mentioned above, the likelihood of anything close is remote.
This is a place where you can inquire about music. That's never been a problem. As you see, at least 2 of us attempted a search. What's amazing is that even a dedicated hip-hop site, such as Old School Hip Hop, has no idea what you're talking about.
So don't get all upset because you got an answer diffferent from what you were expecting. And your sarcasm is truly wasted on one such as myself.
The peddling of your wares was an analogy. A devoted rap-artist like yourself should be familiar with the term. If not, Wiki it.

Thats some of the whackest rhymes Ive ever seen. You aint the shit but youre some shit.
Hard as ever and here to make you people believe...as long as there is one person to hold hope and dream...A GOD...will never die!
I did write rhymes back in the day, but did not write these.
It is quite possible that some words are incorrect as it has been over 20 years since I've heard it. The groove and beat were really funky, and therefore the thing has stuck in my head all of these years. + A mind like a steel trap when it comes to old school rhymes.
It is very possible also, that it was a local (Florida) song by a rap group that never made it. Which is what I am leaning towards more and more, since I am pretty positive about most of the lyrics. Especially the Batman and Robin part.
I had posted the same question on different boards for over 6 years now, and posted those at KMA in a "poetry" thread hoping to get called out for plaigarism. To no avail.
I KNOW no one can find it searching internet lyric sites, (been there) which is why I come to hip hop forums hoping someone will ALSO remember having HEARD it.
I am a longtime member of KMA and do understand how many a**holes come around looking to promote this or that. So it is completely understandable that mods are suspiscious. And you're right at least he didn't ban me, which would have been REALLY over the top dense.
EDIT: On a different subject. I DO have some stuff from a freind of mine who was killed last December. His name was T Wilson. He was a gangsta-style rapper here in Alabama and had a few demos, though maybe only one decent albums worth out of the three demos (he was working on a 4th before he was killed)
Not really doing HIM much good now, but I really liked a couple of his tracks and wondered if you guys had a way to upload a track or two of his and see what you guys think.
Glad we could see eye-to-eye.
I'm not 100% if we're able to upload audio here. Just not something I've done and the board changes pretty often.
Sorry to hear about your friend, though. As a recommendation, you might wish to check out Beatking.com, whose primary focus IS music and they, as with myself, are much less volatile over there.
Good luck.

I still wonder what the true objective of this thread was. Who would really want to know where those lyrics came from? Keep the site alive I guess...
Hard as ever and here to make you people believe...as long as there is one person to hold hope and dream...A GOD...will never die!
Could you do us a favor and record your best impression of this killer rap? Once you think it's got the right flavor you could upload it and we could see how bad-ass, old school, IN DA HOWSE it is.
Don't be a jacka**, Mels.
