With the reality of music having become a disposable commodity I was curious to know how much music people have in their collection and what ratio of that collection is music you actually listen to. Personally I have 9 and a half days worth of music, but only listen to about half the collection, if that.

...about 6 1/2 days in MP3 and other formats and another 7 days worth of CD's/DVDA... (assuming 4 minutes per song)

A good chunk of my hard drive is pretty much Trance and Drum N' Bass made by non-RIAA producers. I've lost track, but I've publicly played about 72 hours worth plus the occasional times I've spun for live audiences. I haven't deleted much, so my collection is significantly larger then that. My guess is that I have a good month or so worth of music though, but I can't keep track.

Apparently I should of scaled the poll differently, you guys a file sharing fanatics. How the hell can the copyright enforcers believe that people would buy everything they download when you have people here with music that would cost tens of thousands of dollars.

Heheh. Well, another way of looking at it is simply going to Soundclick and downloading all the downloadable music there (some is streaming only unfortunately) The major record labels would be shitting bricks if everyone did that and dumped their music.
Some of my favorite music actually comes from sites like that actually.

Not sure what program that is, if I had to guess I would say Kplayer or Mplayer. Regardless of what player he is using Foobar has the same option, in fact it breaks it down the weeks and milliseconds. Its telling me I have
Duration : 1wk 1d 12:28:16.382 in my current playlist, but thats not all my music.
To see the amount, select your playlist or playlists and right click go to content-> properties | properties Tab, scroll down and its under duration.
