Help- How can I be connectable at private torrent sites (It is not easy as you think)

I am usıng the latest version of utorrent (1.8). I have a perfect download speed. But I have a big difficulty at uploading. Network status in utorrent is okey. Its colour is green. That means port forwarding is okey. But, whenever I check my connectable status in any private torrent sites while downloading or seeding, it is stated as not connectable. There are so many leecher. But, I can upload almost nothing. This is really big problem for me. Because my ratio get worst day by day.

Please see below for all needful information

ADSL Modem Router : SpeedTouch ST536V6
Forwarded port : 50040
Antivirus : Disabled
Vista Firewall protection disabled

But, it is very interesting port is seen as opened at https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=50040. However it seems not open as port check site of utorrent. The main reason for this is that my ip address are detected as different in both sites. Actually whenever I use thıs site (http://www.ip-adress.com/whatismyip/) my ip it shows also diferent ip for my connection. The ip shown in private torrent is also different.

I couldn't understand there are 4 different ip results in four different sites

-https://www.grc.com/x/portprobe=50040
-http://www.utorrent.com/testport.php?port=50040
-http://www.ip-adress.com/whatismyip/
-http://nordic-t.org/browse.php Privita torrent site as an example)

I feel that the problem is due to ip but I don't know what to do.

I am afraid that there will be no solution for this problem.

I had a similar issue a few years ago when I switched from cable to DSL. Suddenly people couldn't get to my VoIP servers that I was running at home, and when I checked the public ip, I got something like "192.168.x.x".

The problem is that most DSL modems actually connect you to a private LAN that's spread out across a large area (and by private I mean private to the DSL company, not private to your house). Some DSL modems will allow you to set them to "passthrough", which will connect you to the public network of the DSL company (so people external to the DSL company can see you).

You can probably call your DSL company or dig through the literature that came with the modem to find out specifically how to set up passthrough for your modem.

orphan did you even read what the man said. He is not going to do all the work for you. He gave you a possible solution all you have to do is look for the specifics in the documents you should already have.

I know the problem well too, impossible for me to connect with my box to one of the greatest Danish trackers really hurt. I hope you managed to get going cause it aint any fun to watch all the lovely movies run out in nothing..

one of krells gems, and the single best piece of advice you can get while trying to solve a tech problem. it's a pity newbs get so offended by it, i've followed it and it's worked for me so far.

@orphan1234: does your IP change mid session? is it a reserved range like 192.168.x.x? are you using a proxy service? have you checked your modem config settings page? most modems will display your external IP address there usually under STATUS or CONNECTIONS. you have to be more forthcoming if you want hlp. all we ask is a little politeness.

192.168.x.x : yes reserved range. There is upper and lower limit

Yes, there is an IP address. But this IP address starts with 78. is entirely different from the IP address obtained from http://www.ip-adress.com/whatismyip/

It is so interesting my ip address is "Your IP is: 89.211.4.3"in Nordic torrent site. this is also entirely different.

Perhaps your ISP is transparently proxying connections and has multiple "exit points"? (Not terribly uncommon if they're trying to keep tabs on their customers...If that's the case, then no amount of passthrough is going to help) Perhaps you can perform a lookup (whois, traceroute, etc...) on the various IP's you get and see if there's a common theme to them?

Do I have to make any changes here? or remove anything. Actually, I made some try and error. But, it didn't change anything. Please let me know your idea about this section.
