is there any way to increase the speed of downloading a torrent. different settings or any other options. cheers
yes actually, sometimes i find that randomizing the port every time i open utorrent makes speeds stay good, and if you use www.speedtest.net to find your connection than you can go to connection settings and change your speed settings to exactly what type of connection you have. This will give you optimal results for what your isp can handle

no problem, give it a shot cause i find it makes aleast a 50kb/s difference, which when your downloading a big-ish file makes a substancial difference
I normally just limit the upload speed ~10-30kb/s below my max upload speed. This allows me to reach higher download speeds.
