John McCain
Barack Obama
Ralph Nader
Bob Barr
Cynthia McKinney
Well folks, less than 100 days to go and the campaign is heating up. I was surprised that McCain went negative so early on by comparing Obama to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears. Although I won't vote for McCain, I respect him and I actually thought he would run a clean campaign... I was wrong.
I encourage everyone from outside the US to throw in your two cents. It's interesting how people in other countries are excited over an Obama presidency. I saw a German on TV the other day discussing Obama like he was going to change the world. I have my doubts. It does show, however, how people all over the world are longing for a change of direction or some inspiration.
Anyway, let the countdown begin.... T minus 95 days ......

totally agree with feather...nobody is going to win this election, its going to be who gets beat up the most loses. I was going to vote for obama but then i thought about his work as a senator a perfect place to show what hes about hes done nothing to bring GWB up on war crimes or impeachment at the least. obama is worse than Mcain atleast Mcain is a little upfront where he stands....how do you know when a politician is lying? there lips are moving!!

I prefer to use the fivethirtyeight model, cause poblano is a god when it comes to statistical analysis.
And if you want to see where people are putting their money, the Intrade Prediction Markets (intrade.com) are handy.
Obama looks to be favored at about 2/3 to win.

Apparently the two main proponents of the "Vote or Die" campaign did not vote or even register to vote in the election (Puff and 50 Cent). 50 b/c he is a felon.
As far as choice (or the illusion of chioce) is concerned, I recognize the existing de facto the two party system has tremendous flaws. We have a Democratic Party that has few ideas except being anti-Republican and a Republican Party that is in serious ideological disarray. The extremes of the two parties have taken precedence over the vast majority of Americans. I've heard each party's base voters represent only about twenty percent of the electorate, leaving the vast center without a party or candidate that reflects their views.
It will be a while before third parties and independents gain a foothold and flourish as they do in some in some European countries. Before this ever happens we will have to break the hold that special interests and corporations have over our government. IMHO: this administration has basically championed corporate interests over the welfare of the American people.
@ Feather: I only had 5 slots.... maybe should have included "other"...

i just heard that ludacris just made a pro-obama song, saying that he is destined to win.
i seriously hope all 3 canadates die unexpectedly before the election so that none of us has to suffer their reign. its the only way we wont have them in office at this point. Id almost want to stick with bush with the way things are headed. the devil you know i guess.
i want obama to win but i think that McCain will win
