Question Searching for a new p2p

I have been using emule for about 6 years now but since the servers have been dying now im searching for a new p2p to use. Basically i wanted to ask the experienced people here which you consider would be a good substitute to emule?

I search for porn, old movies, models, tv shows and music. Bittorrent is not really an option for me since thats only for new stuff.

I would REALLY appreciate some suggestions. Thanks all! :icon_blac

I havent been on this forum in awhile although was checking out some things and noticed your question. Knowing its mostly a personal pref when it comes to clients. Although I have heard of a new client that is getting more popular and of course its a free client. Might check it out and see what you think.

ive had a lot of luck with BT for old stuff too. it just depends. i think the p2p community is all on BT right now, so if it is to be found, it will be there. if i were you, i would continue searching for your emule replacement, but check out BT whenever you can. chances are, you wont be disapointed.
Here's Britney Spears' private jet... The gulf stream 3 doesn't even have a remote control for its surround sound DVD system. Still think downloading music for free isn't a big deal?

why get rid of eMule just because the servers suck? run it with KAD only.
you may have to wait an extra second for search results, but it still will find most of the sources when downloading files through KAD and source exchange

I disagree that BT's only for new stuff. Sure, the newer stuff is easier to find, but there's plenty of older stuff out there too. The trick is to find the right trackers, and if you can get into one of the good private tracker sites, there's a stack of stuff there (new and old)

Besides...who wants to look at old porn? ;)

agreed. KAD is a wonderful addition to emule.

Old porn can be great, back when women still had bush and there was even an attempt at a storyline to go with the sex.

Torrents happened. To be honest I liked when I could search an entire network for content rather than the current model where most people are divided into sub groups. Its too much like how FTP servers and IRC channels used to work. The only benefit torrents have is that there are far fewer fakes and they managed to prevent leeching much more then past programs.

You havent downloaded all the old stuff and now moved up to new stuff? Try kazaa lite or xolox.. Possibly old auidogalaxy and filetopia... I heard napigator is where its at. It replaced napster but its possibly popular then imesh.

Talking Its All About the Money Ho!

Zeropaid used to love free. Now it's all about the money. Say anonymous p2p and you get the reply that this or that Newsgroup is good value for money. Mention bit torrent and people bombard you with private torrent sites that take donations for extra services or ratio. Whisper about new and free file sharing services in the same breath and the home to p2p will ban your ass for spamming.

It's all about the money ho.

although, i think another benefit of bittorrent is that relative to previous p2p iterations it has far more de-centralization of files and users (because they're spread across so many servers/individual computers), which keeps the RIAA/CPA's etc much busier than before and (perhaps) keeps us, the users, a little safer from those dreaded C&D letters.

@vato: as for BT only being for "new stuff" i think that's a little misinformed. I've found things on BT that I couldn't find anywhere else (except amazon). try (if you haven't already) a mega-torrent search like isohunt. i'd be interested to know an example of something you're looking for (and havent found on BT), maybe you could challenge one of us to find it?
