    Firewall Suggestions

    Hi All,
I just had to reinstall windows and now im looking at new firewall alternatives.

I have used a variety of firewalls but I have never really been satisfied with any...
I've had zonealarm, norton, sygate, kaspersky, black ice and a few odd ball ones.

Sygate is the only one i have semi-preferred over the others. I was wondering if anyone had any input on which firewalls they use/would recommend to me/others.

As far as an anti-virus goes, i've found one i have no problems with. Symantec corp. edition.

also, i have a server running here with win 2k3 datacenter, is there a simple way ie: some software to install that i can have a network firewall for all my computers (4 total computers)

    thanks!

if needed the computers are running XP home, XP Pro, Vista Ultimate and 2k3 datacenter.

I use a NAT router. There's your network firewall, and it doesn't care at all what os you got running.

there's your answer right there. software firewalls are crap anyway IMO, and if you're running a server, you want to cut off anything that eats up resources, no matter how small the footprint.

Also, a firewall is only as good as it's configured. I also use my router as my firewall.
