some problem with d-link switch.

Hi all,

I have my own company for computer hardware solution..
but i need some help from router master..

Problem : I have setup one office with dlink switch.. There are two switches.. One is with 8 slot and second is with 16 slots..and have two different connections of internet.. but one of the connection is not working proper.. so pls help how i setup this switches so I can solve this problem..

Any other guidance appreciated.. pls i want to rectify this problem quickly.. so help me soon..

how do you mean one connection is not working? are the computers connected to that switch able to communicate with each other? have you crossed checked the connections, checked if the internet connection is working by swapping to the known working switch? is tcp/ip protocol installed on all systems? there could be a hundred reasons, could you be a little more specific starting with exactly how you set this up.

Um, yeah... We're going to need a little more information to help you out. Are they both switches? Is it one switch, and one router? Is the switch a managed switch? Where are the two internet connections coming from? Using vlans or trunking on the network? Can't troubleshoot without knowing pretty much your entire configuration and topology. God, I hate networking, wish I never took those classes, lol.
