Judas Priest unveils "Nostradamus" concept album

LONDON (Billboard) - "Everybody," Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford says, "is eager to grab the full metal opera."

Halford is talking about "Nostradamus" (Epic), the veteran U.K. metal act's 16th studio album -- and its first concept work. The double-disc set, due internationally June 16 and one day later in the United States, tells the story of 16th-century prophet Michel de Nostredame, better-known as Nostradamus.

The set is the second album since Halford returned to the band in 2003 after doing other musical projects for 12 years.

I've heard good things about this upcoming release and am looking forward to it. Most of the reviews are either "love it" or "hate it".

It is out on P2P, and I'm really trying hard not to grab it. I wanna wait for the real thing, ya know?

    Must...resist....

I have never really listened to judas priest. but it sounds like it'd be right up my alley. what's their quintessential album that I should start with?

I assume they have something worth listening to. their new album is getting bad reviews though. which is disappointing cuz it came in a giant box and I was drooling just looking at it's awesomeness. I don't care what's in the box I just want the box.
