I am having a problem with th RundII32.exe

I am having a problem with th RundII32.exe

for example I have been trying to access this site for a time as well as others but I couldn't.
There has been problems with programs on my system as well.
And It was all because of RundII32.exe, I had to delete the RundII32.exe file and It all stopped.
Now I can access this site as well as others

Now some of the menu's won't work, mainly In the control panel.

I don't want to put RundII32.exe back on my system, for It to start all over again.

What I am looking for Is a file that does the same job as RundII32.exe, and makes the menu's work.
    And works In XP Professional.

Rundii32.exe is most likely a worm. Use google for more info on that.

That being said, you dont need to replace it...

You are probably experiencing problems with other things the worm has messed up on your system.

I would suggest getting your computer cleaned by some one who knows how virii/worms work, or just saving your data and formatting again.

I found a solution to the problem, I downloaded a modified version of RundII32.exe.
Then I had to go looking for another dII, called MSVCRTD

    It's working now

these 3 sites should explain what you are dealing with and how to remove.
if you are still having problems with menus after removal do a xp repair from disc.

Forcus, that is NOT a windows file. I HIGHLY suggest you google that filename, only virus and worm files seem to have that name. I would not keep running if you put that back on your system intentionally...

I am really sorry to say but the guys are very much right, you do have a virus and it is a bad one called Virtumondi, and it is a pain to remove, I know because I have had problems myself with this virus myself.

If you are like me and not very clever with computers, you may need some help, because this Virus hides itself in your registry and causes all kinds of problems.

Spybot found the virus, but it didn't get rid of the virus, it just kept coming back.

The way I got rid of it was to reformat my computer, and start all over again and before you go on any websites, make sure you go to a reputable website to download your free software which can help your problem.

The way to find it on your system would be to install Hijack This.

This is also a very good tool which is free

The guys are also right to find a good Antivirus program.

This is a very good website which may help you also

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/

    It deals with virus issues.

I will be honest, I am not very computer savvi, but all I know this worked for me. Maybe the guys here could add to this.

Oh and I also changed my browser from Internet Explorer to Firefox as it seems to be safer.

I really do hope you get sorted.

    Take care

I suggest opening up your Task Manager and see if that Rundii32.exe is actually running. To do so hit cntrl+Alt+del to bring up your task manager. If this funny "Rundii32.exe" is running try to end process and get rid. I wouldnt want any hacked crap like that lurking in the background, recording keystrokes, phoning home.....
