Halo and virus?

Hi,
Me and my friend (host) were playing Halo trial multiplayer. Some other guy threated me to send a virus. After some time, while chatting in another mp game, a strange message seemed to come from my friend. My friend said that it wasn't him who typed that message, and someone may have hacked his computer (since his IP was visible as he was the host). There was no one on the server except me, him, and another guy (who had different username)

Is there any such exploit in Halo (we are using the latest demo version)?
Can anyone please help us out here?

This was an actual chat message from within the game, correct? Either your friend was lying, or the guy you encountered copied the handle, changing an alpha/numeric character that you wouldn't really notice at first glance. Just because his ip address was exposed (assuming it's external), it doesn't mean script kiddies can do as they wish... not even teh matrIX haXorZ from Japan. :icon_pira

I wouldn't worry about it.
