I noticed that every tracker site on the face of the earth appears to be running on PHP.
Anyone know of one that actually runs on .NET? (.aspx extention)
Just curious.
i dont think theres as many "running" on PHP as you think- a lot use PHP for the front end
pure PHP trackers use a lot of server overhead
I have never heard of .net tracker at a guess a .net client is do-able a .net tracker would be something different and would have a similair server overhead to a pure php one (guessing)
If you plan to install and run a tracker, the extra time learning to manage and integrate it with a php front end is time well spent I like XBTT but im old school LOL
The leader of Mininova told me he is using Sphinx search. Its open source so I think you can compile it to whatever langauge u want?
Thanks for the input.
I guess what I'm really curious about is an actual tracker website developed with .NET.
