What is file repairing?
Sometimes in the course of sharing files, a small amount of corruption may become evident. This corruption may be accidental due to some clients not correctly transmitting data in strict adherence with the Gnutella standards, or be an intentional attempt to corrupt freely available files. Some file formats, like MP3 are extremely tolerant of these problems, other formats, notably video formats are very sensitive. Consequently QTRAXMAX has a feature which runs through all files downloaded looking for signs of this corruption. If discovered QTRAXMAX will try to remedy the file by patching the unaffected data. This option can be turned off or on by setting the "Check Quality" entry in the setup screen to true or false.

That program is the one that is suppose to hurt the gnutella network the most. this quote from Slyck.com

I dont know if they have chaged there ways, but if not i would watch out.

Most programs block that program so i wouldnt use it.. It is a malicious program in that they connects to too many ultrapeers and flood the network with traffic and they have hammered users for files. Which is why many programs block them so i dont reccomend using it.

I like this program.
Appart from i use KaZaA, Bearshare Pro, LImewire Pro and Splooge.
Qtrax is a good program but as people say it floods the network with searches so it cant be that good for it.
Has any one tried it in this forum

No it is not good.. Why because if it was just a network of Qtrax programs then it would die it could not exist. It just leeches from good programs and damages the network by using unfair and malicious practices..Originally posted by rctempire
