bitGAMER moving by the end of this month

2008-03-23 - Good News and Bad News

Let's start off with the bad news: Unfortunately, our hosts, LeaseWeb, have asked us to move or shut down bitGAMER by the end of this month. Apparently, they are asking higher profile sites to move since they lost a recent court case. Since the case they have ben asking sites that serve any sort of high-profile content to find a new home.

The good news is that we are currently looking for a new host, and won't die without a fight. We found a reliable, P2P friendly host who vows to never release the personal information of anyone who uses their servers. Hopefully, we will have a server over there sometime this week and make this transition as painless as possible.

So please bear with during this transition. If all goes well, we'll end up with an ever better server on the other end. And, as always, we have to thank all of our donors who make it possible for us to exist in the first place!

With this move will all login and rep/level of the accounts stay the same? I was one of who donated to the site and would hate to lose that when the move is finished. Best of luck really enjoyed the site.
