The 10 Most Disruptive Technology Combinations

The 10 Most Disruptive Technology Combinations

Dan Tynan, PC World Wed Mar 19, 1:00 AM ET

If there's one thing the digital revolution has taught us, it's that we shouldn't get too attached to anything. Technology has a way of seizing long-held ideas and entrenched industries and turning them upside-down.

Disruption is rarely the result of a single gadget or innovation, however. It's typically when two or more technologies converge that the real changes start to happen.

For this look at the most disruptive high-tech events of the last quarter century, we divided developments into pairs that have formed an effective one-two punch. On the following pages are our picks for the ten technology duos with the biggest impact.

I didn't read the article, but I am throwing in Car + Cell Phone.
"There's a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17... I been sayin' that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant. I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass. But I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice… The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."

I did read the "article." Misleading and whiney.

And Mr. Tynan, if you're going to profess the "10 Most Disruptive Technology Combinations," don't supply us with 5 pairs and 5 "bonus things."

Fuck, what is this? Choose your own adventure? I demerit you, PC World.

Those pop up on TV are really annoying. TNT is a big offender in this department. If I have to see Kydra Sedgwick creep across the bottom of my TV screen again like she's going to shoot me in my living room, I'm going to go "Elvis" on the TV...

i thought this article was going to be about retarded things never being improved because the old technology was too far entrenched. my first thought then was the keyboard. its layout sucks when it comes down to it.
Here's Britney Spears' private jet... The gulf stream 3 doesn't even have a remote control for its surround sound DVD system. Still think downloading music for free isn't a big deal?
