why do i always got "http error 403" in my utorrent when im downloading revtt and ipt torrents? but in some trackers its working fine..
PS:
please be friendly with me..the reason why i got only few post is because im afraid to here bad comments..i read alot of bad comements here..im new in torrenting so please..
thanks!!!!
========================
im able to fix it ,,maybe the wrong thing that i did is i closed my utorrent while its currently seeding/leeching and open it again...whta i did is i stopped all my active torrents in revtt and close then opened it again....hope the error will not come back again..
Even though i'm not a member of those torrent sites, i'm pretty sure you have to log into those before you start downloading. Thats what happened to me when i used to have an account at Midnight
i am already log in in the sites,,and the torrents that im downloading is listed in the active torrents..im getting this many times..all i have to do is stop all my torrents and closed the client and start again..but sometimes i dint notice when it got the same error again...counld this harm my account?
No, private trackers don't care about that, they just care about ratio etc.
You may have DHT and/or PeerExchange enabled......thats a no-no with most, if not all private trackers
In utorrent, click Options, Preferences, BitTorrent. Make sure there is NO check in 'Enable DHT' and "Enable Peer Exchange"
Click Apply, OK
Regards.....
Edit: Sorry, didn't see it was resolved. Leaving my answer in case other have 403 problems
-------------------
What version uTorrent are you using?
It could be that the tracker has banned the version of your client you are using. A lot of sites have been banning versions of uTorrent and Azureus, that they deem unsafe or easy to hack.
Just recently I got a similar error asking me to get a newer version of my client. I can't remember if it said 403, but 403 means forbidden, so it probably was something like that.
