Wich P2P program should I take?

    hello everybody,

I'm a university-student who's got a computer and like to download stuff, mainly movies.

I can't use Kazaa, Kazaa-lite or E-donkey because the university has blocked them. (Is there a way to use them anyway?)
I have a cable internet connection and i'm attached to a hub together with 8 other computers.
I've no firewall except the Windows XP one wich is turned off.

    Wich P2P schould I try?

    Give this a go...

I'd try Direct Connect. You can find it in the ZP listings. The only real drawback of DC is you have to share. No leechers. This is usually only a problem for newbies, though. Hubs set minimum shares, like say 5 gigs. If you got stuff to share, you should have a good experience.

And now I insert the trippin' smiley: :tilted

Oh I almost forgot. I don't know if they just blocked Kazaa, or all FastTrack, so you might give iMesh a try too.

    www.filetopia.org
it still has a small userbase (around 5,000-) but it is really good i think.

    winmx

I'd say personally winmx is really good. Some people complai nabout the ques. I've always managedto get what i need without waiting too much. If you're really having problems i'd say go open nap sources. go to www.oldversion.com and download winmx 2.6(still the best opennap client available) then i'd try www.napigator.com or wwww.napmx.com those should give you a lsit of open nap servers. What's good about some of the open nap servers is they're on different ports and ISP usually tend to block regular popular ports for P2P apps.
