    Can anyone help me?

    Hey Guys!
I have some of my favorite songs in my iPod that I want to transfer into my computer. I have tried many times by different methods but I am unable to transfer. Do you people have any idea that can help me out? Your suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

sure, firstly you are going to have to turn your ipod to manual update, then you need to go to my computer and find the removeable disk which is your ipod.

then your music will be in there some where and just transfer it

Did they just magically show up there? They were born there? The descended form heaven to your Ipod and now you want to put them on a computer? How did they get there to begin with?

And what type of computer are you using? What OS? is Plug n Play enabled?

I just find it odd that someone can popluate their Ipod, but doesnt have a clue how to transfer files to a PC, since this is probably in the user manual or a simple google search.

no it isnt as simple as you make it out be krell, apple made it so that you can only transfer music from the pc to your ipod though itunes, not the other way. so you have to get onto the hard drive and find the hideen files.

i have had to do it when you get a new computer and you lost your music or if you get your friends music

Right, sorry if my sarcasm was mistaken for over-simplification. The user states he tried many methods, this is vague. I'm asking them to provide more information, did they use a software? Is it a PC or MAC?

If the answer is as simple as turning the Ipod on manual, how is Apple making it "not the other way"? How can this be such a universal secret?

it isnt a secret they just dont tell you how to do it when you buy the ipod, so people who arent good with computers dont know how to find hidden files and folders. the ipod also renames the files on the ipod so if you have like 4000 songs you wont be able to tell which on is which unless you go and play them one by one.

when you turn the ipod on to manual, the ipod can act as a hard drive as well.

Apple also happens to have comprehensive guides on their website. I hate Apple but was given an iPod for Xmas. It's been a great removeable drive. My point is it took very little effort to find my model's info on the site. If you can find ZP, you can find Apple. Are we sure P_P didn't steal (errr...borrow) this product he knows so little about?

Hi, there is lots of software available on the net that can easily transfer songs, pictures or music with iTunes. Currently I am using iPod 2 iTunes software and it works very well for me and I hope this will help you too.
    Good luck!

This is the second reference to this since you joined, if you keep hawking software we will assume you have some vested interest in this.
