Connecting a xBox 360 to a XP PC

Have you had problems connecting your xBox 360 to your PC's? I have and I wanted to see if anyone had any luck making these machines talk to each other.

I have gotten it to work on Vista, but no luck on XP.

If you got it to work, please tell me how you got it all running.

    Thanks

What are you referring to, networking them, through a tuner card, vcn, vpn, tunneling, remote network?

Networking I believe their is a software package from Microsoft. I would imagine that like most network settings in XP its an automated process. Tuner card you just connect it so I imagine you aren't having that issue. VCN you need a hacked console, I'm not sure what VCN clients are available for the 360 but the server end theirs UltraVNC. Works pretty good but not that secure, I've been using it to remote connect to my desktop from my palm at school. Trying to figure out VPN its supposed to be more secure. Don't think I was much help but whatever.

hmmm For Xp you need Media Center Edition and the extender with media player 11. It should after installing the extender work intuitively and just take a few prompts and clicks

What kind of issues are you having and how is it set up?

From what I am reading for XP now all you need is WMP 11 and it should work.

I am referring to the ability to stream an avi file from my shared dir to my xbox.

No. All you need is Windows XP and WMP 11. I do it and I just have XP Professional. Jorge in WMP 11 click the arrow under 'Library' and then select media sharing. Tick the Box and make sure your Xbox is on. Your Xbox should show up. Let me know if it doesn't.
