I think people should have the ability to gain reputation points by writing original articles and being journalits. 50 to 100 points could be made by writing a original article depending on its quality and number of views.
I think it'd be interesting to see this in action. :-)
If you make good posts, and people enjoy reading it, you will get rep points. If you stay active in those threads, and keep good points going, you'll further your chances for rep. Rep is decided by the community, its not an instant gratification thing.

That's fair but it's the writers that hold the community together. If I spend hours on a piece then IMO I deserve to earn some rep points. I think it's unfair that some regular posters have less rep than the ZeroPaid writers IMO, some who contribute NOTHING to the community. This isn't a shot at anyone in particurlar there are some great people here. :-)
yea i like this idea, and you have you remember that some people with power doesnt rep people when others help or write good posts.
I agree. It isn't much different than a mod saying they want 50 to 100 points for banning people. They are, after all, just doing what they do best. Should mods be paid rep for doing their jobs? No. Should you get paid rep for posting articles? No. I mean, sure, only if ppl enjoy the article and feel it is rep worthy.
Just my 2 cents.

hell I deserve 50 to 100 points a day just for being a member here.
but, just like being a member here, rep points don't mean shit.
