Bittorrent question from a new user...

Hello,
I just started using bittorrent and I downloaded photoshop CS2 with a key gen. When I installed it I have to activate the software. I'm a little wary to do this with being new to P2P sharing. Is it safe to activate the account with the key Gen I received with Adobe or is this a bad idea because you could get caught for the downloading. Thanks for the information to help a new mac user!!

When you activate it, it should give you a option of doing it by telephone. Take this option (dont worry, you dont actually telephone anyone) a sequence of numbers will be generated which yo then put into the keygen, in return the keygen gives you an activation code which you then put in cs2

Just be sure to run virus check on anything you downloaded, if it's clean then be sure your computer is not connected to the Internet & firewall to block it from updating itself if needed.

Well there is a choice to activate by phone but then you have to call an 877 number and enter in the key gen you have to get the next one for activation....

Like he/she said just click on phone avtivation then without calling that number to go to the next screen should give you a activation code. Then use that activation code in keygen to generate a serial number for the CS2, if I remember correctly!

Well there is a bullet box that asks for internet activation and under that it says phone activation and I check that. Then it goes to another page that has the 1-866 number and it says call this number and enter the Key Gen and then enter another number called the activation number under the Key gen. Then it has space for the authorization code that I would get on the phone to key in for activation.... When I select by phone it doesn't ask for the Key Gen and then give me a new one....I'm confused because the directions that came with it said the same thing that iWap said. Sorry I'm not too smart at his obviously. Your help is appreciated!

Here are the instructions I created for myself

Install photoshop
open, run as trial
Help/activation
run keygen get registration number
enter registration number from keygen
activation options
activate by phone - get activation number
plug activation number into keygen get authorization code
plug authorization code into photoshop

I'm not sure how precise these are, but the bottom line is that you want to go back and forth between photoshop and the keygen, getting numbers and plugging them into the other. If photoshop gives you a number that isn't in the keygen, cut and paste it and if the keygen has a number that isn't in photoshop, cut and paste that. If memory serves me correctly, the keygen has buttons to click after just about every number.

We've never been in the habit of assisting with cracks, cheats etc in the past. This is not a crack or key gen site.

This is not a private site and everything posted here shows up in a google search, so be prudent about these discussions.
