ImgBurn is free but has no easy interface - http://www.imgburn.com/

if you want to pay you can use Nero Burning Rom IMHO is the best - http://www.nero.com

I use Nero 7 Ultra Edition really never had a problem burning CD's.

I have had some problems using Nero burning for DVD, but I think it's because I was using cheap DVD.

ImgBurn is for only images. Hope this helps.

does vista not allow you to right-click and send data directly to the burner, like XP? I can't remember, as I only had it installed a week before i upgraded to XP.

If you don't want "easy", I would go with Nero. There are others, but it works for me.

Vista's burner was not easy for me. I could not operate it. it acted like the software was stuck.

Nero has so many functions it is bloatware to me. I already have a backup feature in another program.

what version of Nero? I still use v6 and find it quite simple. I suppose v6 won't work with vista like a lot of other shit, which is part of the reason I got rid of it. Anyhow, you seem to have a few suggestions, so good luck.

Data CD's? Like back-ups? Like games? Like Apps? Could you be a little more vague?

If nero is to hard and you don't care for right clicking then what exactly are you comparing burning to?

Sarcasm aside I'm sure we can help you but "mind reading" isn't my strongest attribute. Be a little more specific in what you want as opposed to shooting down everyones responses and then thanking them for their replies.

Midnight's Children, Data CD's, Like back-ups, Like Apps.

When I tried the Vista burner, it got stuck. I could not unstick it. It prevented me from using third party CD writers. I tried Burn4Free and made a coaster. I tried CDBurnerXP Pro. It would not work with Vista. It gave me an error message. It said a file was missing when I tried installing it.

I am a beginner. Please bear with me.

thank you all for your replies.
