i come home to check my dls one day and find all my movies gone and just my movies i stil have tv epps and most my songs but ALL my movies are gone do you think i have been hacked by the mpaa or is it some bug or jack off that feels liek being a jack off and what ever it is yake this:ass :finger :devil2

ok i am on windows 98 se was dling movies and connected to the internet my home network switch/router has a firewall no clue on how to check logs i was really wondering if this is something that is happening to lots o people or just me if is me it was most likly a virus or hacker if lots o people then a org of some sort

KazaaKontrol was made by the MPAA.....it's a sting! An you fell for it! Now they x'd all yer movies.....next time don't praise a buggy program by giving it space in your sig..... Oh....and back up your files.....next....time....

LMFAO.....Well, heres the obvious question.....does anyone else have access to your PC? Cuz I doubt any 'Trojan' that you were downloading off KL while you were away could have started by itself. And it seems strange that it would just take out MOVIES....considering that would be alotta extra work for whoever programmed the virus. I mean why not just wipe out ALL .avi's or all .mp3's. It's a virus! It's already illegal/unlawful so why not just wipe out every file of that type?

Give us more info.....you know...exact file names of stuff that was deleted. What the state of your PC was when you returned to it......draw us into a story about how you came home to find this massive slaughter of your movie collection. So we can try and trace back what may have caused it from your POV.

Sounds like your pulling our chains though.....
