Well if you can't force them to stop then you ought to consider renaming your client and distance your cilent from the name shareaza.
Well if your out of options then you should call your cilent something else so people can easily differentiate the two. Then get the word out that its the actively developed open source spyware free cilent of shareaza and explain the name change.
I think since shareaza has been around for a while and people are so used to going to shareaza.com, trying to inform people is fighting a losing battle. At least by renaming it gives you a fresh start, puts you back in control and you would no longer have to worry about shareaza.com.
Why continuing developing under the shareaza name for free so someone else is money of off it. If they want to make money then they can maintain and improve their own damn program.
We've already considered it :) If it would've only depend on me, I would already changed it ;)
But that's a last resort, if all possibilities fail.
There's someone on Wikipedia changing all Shareaza links to the bad ones. Every day after we've changed it back. We're talking with moderators and so on, but they can't do a thing -yet-...
