I have been using nero to burn my avi files on to blank dvds. When I insert a blank disc, it starts to burn for a little bit and then there is supposedly an error that occurs and about 1/4 of the movie or video actually gets on the disc. Can anyone help?
are you encoding them or just burning them as an avi data file on dvd?

It may be the wrong blank media disk you are using, what does the error show?

i am using a DVD-R, and putting an avi file on to the disc. For some it has worked and the quality has been great, but while the disc is burning, there will be an error, not sure what, and there will only be a portion of the movie on the disc.
Nero also has tools to check & test your drive(s).

1. Uninstall Nero and then reinstall it;
2. You might have corrupt Windows, try repairing it with Windows CD;
3. It's possible that your burner is at the end of its life //
