Um, I guess that is an issue if you buy online as you never know if someone has kept the key (that is if its a used copy). Personally I would probably just buy it from Amazon as I have had good service from them, on the other hand you could just not bother and wait for Starcraft 2, probably another year at least before its released tho.

Theres very little difference between the two, Warcraft 3 has the role playing elements but apart from that the game plays almost exactly the same way as Starcraft. Now given the popularity of Starcraft I can guarantee that Battle.net mods, and activity will gravitate to Starcraft 2. The reason I say this is that Starcraft is still heavily played in gaming tournaments and is known to most as the best real time strategy game. Now this is heavily dependent on your preference, if you hate space games or love fantasy games that can change what you prefer but generally people will pick Starcraft over Warcraft for online play.

that is the influnce of starcraft.but,like what u have said,warcraft is the role playing game, especially ,it has the heros.and every heros have their own skills.
yeah ,some of the units of sc have such skills,they are totally different.
after sc 2 go to the market,i will buy one and play,but i wont give up war 3 because of sc2.
anyway,sc 2 definatly an exiting game.hope it can come out quickly.
To be honest I was surprised people still played Warcraft 3, Played it allot when it was first released but haven't really touched it much since. Its a good game in terms of the story line, but I find the mechanics of Starcraft are just a little more polished. Hopefully Blizzard manages to retain that aspect of the game in its sequel.

mo surprise why u do not like war 3,like u said ,u have never really touched that game.
i like the legend storys the pics the background music,ect..
u like sc ,maybe u like such space fighting things.as for me ,just ok.
i will say war 3 still a strategy game,i like it very much,sometimes ,i played more than 6 hours without tiring.it is really fun ,and very intense when i played it.
i like war 3 very much,and my human is adversary

Warcraft 3 pretty much was just a setup for WOW IMO. With its pretty small unit limit it just wasn't that fun as a RTS.
There are many other RTS out that are way better than Warcraft 3 was, like Warhammer 40k, Supreme Commander, Medieval 2 Total War, and others.
Plus to be honestly I can't really understand some of your posts gaminglol it just doesn't make any sense reading it, I think that also has something to do with it.
You just need to take a couple classes with newly immigrated professor's then you will start to think his english is pretty damn good.

People only play Wc3 because of this one custom game.. DotA. I think thats whats keeping people from playing it because it's pretty hard to find a ladder game now
