Hi, I am new at this and I wanted to know what info you could offer me in using torrent sites. I also wondered how private sites work.

private sites are membership only
you to have to either register or get a invite
Private sites answer a major problem many public sites have which is people not seeding after their download is finished.
In most private sites you have to seed until a 1:1 ratio or until a specific amount of time has past.
You have a ratio you need to keep between amount uploaded and amount downloaded to keep from being banned
Ex. 120 gb's uploaded 60 gb's downloaded ratio:2
most sites have a specific ratio to keep
Private sites offer much faster download speeds and some sense of security than public sites
