    Best way to share pictures

Hi i have just bought a brand new camera and i would like to share my pictures with my friend and family.... but i would like them to be able to add a comment to the picture... i also want certain pictures to be private and some to be public and i want the website to allow high quality print size pictures. I want it to be very fast and with very little to no ads and i want it to be free... and i should be able to sell my pictures, as all my pictures will be copyrighted so i want some money for that.. and may be little bit organized (folders etc).. and i already gave up on photobucket and imageshack...

sounds like you need your own website man. Most image hosting sites do not have a way to sell pictures, same goes for blogs. If it weren't for the sale part, you could find your answer countless places. Sounds like you need an e-store...

well if i take selling pictures out of consideration How will i make sure my copyrighted pictures don't make it to some websites home page? at least the hosting website should have rules for copyrighted pics... but i heard about iStockphotos being a good website for professionals.. so i gess i would use istock for the photos i sell and i would use picasa web albums for private pictures as i don't wanna sell them and wanna keep them private.

there are a few methods to keep your pictures safe, although I do not know what hosting sites would utilize them. Basically you need to disable right click on the page, and dis-allow people to view the source. This will (sort of) protect your images from the avarage person. Just FYI, it is not possible to completly protect a shown image, if some one wants it bad enough, theres always a way to get it, because you can see it! Most people who sell images would only allow a low res image to be shown as a demo, and to get the full high res pic, you would have to purchase it. This way the high def pic is not shown at all.

Just watermark the ones you want to sell. Doc Toker is right tho, if someone really wants to use your images, they will.
