Port forwarding is done on the router. When your at your computer, go to a cmd prompt, and type IPCONFIG. Normally the gateway address is where your router is. Type that address into internet explorer to access your router. Once there, just put the port number you want to use, and your computer IP (found under ipconfig also), and set it to always be active.

As for content, for music I use STMusic.org, if signups are closed now, shoot me a PM and I can invite you, they had open signups recently...

Yeah, ST Music is a pretty good music tracker. It is nice and easy to keep a good ratio.

    2 cents on forwarding

been using Azureus [stable 2.5 version] on Mac OSX for a while...
noticed the NAT health indicators aren't entirely honest all the time. Also, if you let the program run a while, it seems to reset itself and negotiate the ports eventually. I ultimately get decent throughput behind my router.

PS - your neighbor might be shutting you out if he notices the traffic but maybe you have his permission, eh? [haha]:icon_joke :icon_joke
    just my 2 cents......

I think that Frostwire is a clone of Limewire, which was the original Java file share client like that. I used Freewire for a while long ago, yet another clone that used a pepper for an icon. Is that service still good for mp3s, I haven't heard much about those recently. If you can get mp3s then it must be working woof. Shareaza was also another program like Limewire that was good.

I know that port forwarding can seem hard, but once you learn how to do it, and you can visualize the process, then it will be easy. I think the best thing to do is find out what kind of a router it is and then look up a port guide for that.

I'd second Chugsmoker too, if you use all of the bandwidth on a shared connection, other users will get barking mad and might try to find out what's going on. Frostwire might have some kind of bandwidth limiting settings, so it won't use up the whole connection.
