why soulseek, emule are better music sources than any BT tracker?

have tryed/used and seen many BT trackers, many p2p softwares... and came to this conclusion:
    soulseek - the best for the single tunes;
emule - the best for the albums.
for example: why these 2 p2p softwares beats the best BT tracker for music OiNK.cd? I have 10 reasons. in OiNK.cd:

    1. nothing below 192kbps is allowed
    2. livesets are not allowed
    3. transcodes are not allowed (wondering what does it mean)
    4. its impossible to seed cause 99% of the torrents have 0 leechers (the only way to keep good ratio - is to upload...)
    5. discographies are not allowed
    6. only official releases are allowed
    7. if you got the PU+ rank - it doesnt mean anything... cause you can easily lose every moment because the mods are PRICKS.
    8. mods are PRICKS
    9. mods are PRICKS
    and 10. mods are PRICKS

I'm on OiNK.cd for 1month now. and during the 1month period - got about 3 warnings because I uploaded transcodes and unofficial release as they said... the last warning I got today - for 4 weeks + got demoted from PU+ to PU (because I uploaded transcode as they said). now I even cant upload cause some mod demoted me from PU+ to PU and I have wait till the warning expires + after 4 weeks I will have to contact the mod who demoted me asking to promote to PU+ again cause I "wanna" upload torrents.
p.s.: during 1month I uploaded 10GB keeping my ratio ~10.00... just tryed to be a good and valuable member. it doesnt matter that you have good intentions cause mods are PRICKS, rules SUCK there... and OiNK.cd is just A BIG PIECE OF CRAP.

On soulseek and emule you never get warnings, banns... you dont need to waste your time preparing, creating and uploading a torrent file... you dont need to worry about your ratio.

Its such a blessing to use soulseek and emule instead of the OiNK.cd: you add something to download and you can relax, enjoy downloading... enjoy your life. But in OiNK.cd you always have the headaches about ratio and some crap like this.

All the reasons you listed are why so many people love OiNK (apart from the mods being pricks of course).

As a side note transcodes are bad. You should never transcode lossy -> lossy as you lose quality.

oink has top quality only. if you don't mind garbage quality and the possibility of your albums being incomplete use slsk.

I'm not even talking about that that soulseek and emule can use everyone freely... and to get into BT trackers it takes years for someone (what a pathetic situation)...

It doesn't take years. It just takes patience and perseverance. Imagine you spending time to download a new game for your Xbox only to find out its the demo only. Then you spend more time downloading the same game again - another demo. regardless if it was soulseek, emule or whatever. It would piss you off.

That's why the rules are so stringent on great trackers like Oink. To save people who may have slow connections from downloading something for hours, only to find out it's junk.

ltev2006, you only have yourself to blame for not following the rules. If the person who invited you didn't direct you to read the FAQ and rules, you should have anyways. The rules are there for a reason so that there is no crap on the site like the transcodes you speak of.

Oink is awsome, awsome. It would even been better if it wasent so darn hard making an ok ratio there.
IMO OiNK and trancetraffic for albums and DC++ for singles.

I do like using soulseek to find new music, though. It's easy to find people that listen to music you like, then see what other music they listen to.

Now the solution to that would be - Don't upload bullshit, the only reason why I liked oink was the bitrate limit..I fail to see why people upload albums with crappy 128kbps or lower.

i always choose emule to download music, for some of the reason that you said, but in trackers like oink you can get music that in emule dont

Yea, if you don't mind 128kbps files, incorrectly tagged/named files, limited selection, extremely slow speeds, and potential disconnects resulting in incomplete downloads.... soulseek and emule are great. For those of us that valued the largest selection of the highest quality files at the fastest speeds...nothing compared to oink.

Gotta use PeerGuardian. You won't be completely safe but it helps.
