Do some tracker sites have a limit on how many different IP addresses one person can use? It's just I'll be moving out for university and depending where I go I will either have a place of my own or live in Halls of Residence. I've tried looking on some of my trackers I use but there's no mention of it. And yes some Halls of Residence just don't give a damn if you use BitTorrent or so I've heard.
Also, what if you move into a house where someone has used the same tracker but got banned from it? Does that mean you can't use it because the IP is banned?
Any help will be greatfully appreciated.
Cheers!

Some do and some don't.
For instance, Wildbytes-
---[Multiple IPs (Can I log-in from different computers?)
" - Yes, the tracker is now capable of following sessions from different IPs for
- the same user. A torrent is associated with the user when it starts, and only
- at that moment is the IP relevant.
-
- So if you want to seed/leech from computer A and computer B with the same
- account you should access the site from computer A, start the torrent there,
- and then repeat both steps from computer B (not limited to two computers or to
- a single torrent on each, this is just the simplest example). You do not need
- to log-in again when closing the..
Would depend on what they were banned for, as soooo many people will say,
"BUt that wasn't meeeee!! My brother (sister, mother, father, dog, or one of 20 room-mates) did it!"
Example (Wildbytes again)-
---[BANNED - WARNED WHY AM I GETTING THESE MESSAGES
- Dupe account creation
- Cheating Scripts of any kind
...
SOLUTION
-
- Enter IRC BANNED Channel (see irc topic) and plead your case.
- Use your SITE NAME
- State the reason your there
- Then WAIT for a Staff member to scan your profile.
-
- ONLY the staff member dealing with your account will be the one to fix it.
-
- or
-
- Enter WILD BYTES ACCOUNT support forum and plead your case
-
- State the reason your there
- Then WAIT for a Staff member to scan your profile.
-
- ONLY the staff member dealing with your account will be the one to fix it.
These examples were just from the tracker I thought easiest to look.

Hope this helps.

I've never had issues. Changing ips is normally OK by itself, just dont change pw or mail settings, that will send up red flags all over.
