Note - they WILL get your account banned. They create new characters, and send them into the capital cities in-game to spam the site/service.
Did it work for him? Yes. But his account was banned.
(Fortunately for him, it was only a temp ban)

In a show of hypocrisy, I would just like to note that these spam-bots tick for "notify when there is a reply" so every reply in these threads kind of keeps them coming.
