Is killing for pleasure evil?

Its that time of year again! I see all these people getting up at the butt crack of the morning, suiting up because they love to kill animals and I simply do not understand it. How can anyone find happiness in seeing who can kill the most or the biggest animal(s)?

I would kill an animal, if I had to, for food but I wouldnt get a kick out of it. Inflicting pain on an animal or taking its life for fun seems evil to me. If one does not have to kill but only does the act because it makes one feel good inside then that person has mental problems IMO. All life is sacred and should be treated with respect. Taking a life is not something anyone should do because they think its fun. Of course this is my opinion and perhaps comes from my Native American roots but to me it seems that any rational human being would be able to reach these same conclusions.

I dont like to kill but I think its cool to go out and beat up small animals. Its fun to hear them cry out in pain. I find it strange that people can get in trouble for liking to see dogs fight each other but its alright to shoot other animals with an arrow.

Why do deer run away from men? It could be that they dont want to die! Feelings, emotions, reasoning, life.

I cannot say I wouldn't like to bag a nice trophy at least once or so in my life, I think it is a right of passage in a way. But for the most part, I disagree with killing for mere game. If you are going to use the animal for food, clothing, population control I have no issue with it.

I felt bad for running a rabbit over in Germany one night. I was taking a date home and we heard it examine the entire underside of my Ford Escort. After I left her little town I went back to the place where I hit it. (FYI, it was our first date, or else I would have been hitting her instead.)

It was about 1:00 am or so and I found it on the 2-lane road and stopped the car. I left the car in the middle of the road with the brights on. I went to examine the rabbit and it was pretty much dead, the innards on the outey. Rather than leave it there to become German Asphalt Gumbo, I went to my car and got an oil rag and dragged it by its foot to the shoulder of the road. I figured I would feel better knowing an animal had come to eat it rather than vehicle after vehicle driving by, breaking it down to the width of a pancake. I also wouldn't want to see it should she ever decide she wanted to date again (she didn't).

It was the biggest animal I have ever killed that I know of. Sure, it was an accident, but I still did it.

What's your opinions on Spanish bull fights for entertainment. The motive is money from the viewers. Similar for Pit Bull fighting. Would you not change your mind for 10000 for one night?

Also food : chickens live in filthy conditions, so eating for food isn't kind to them. They loose all their feathers, and shooting would be more merciful.

As for "fun" well my guess is they do it for money?

Yes it is evil/sick. Where we draw the line between the two is another question to ask ones self. Is there even a line?

It's all subjective.

That said, killing animals isn't my thing, but I have no problem with people doing it, even only for sport.

Hell I bet Noah even fucked a few sheep during those long rainy nights. If god can kill all the animals and people instead of talking things out just to make a point about how awesome he is I guess its cool for people to kill each other and animals for fun or to prove how bad ass they are too.


I guess killing for fun is the cool thing to do these days. I bet I would get arrested for fucking a deer because some people think its cruel but its somehow alright to shoot it with an arrow because its funny. When I lived in the mountains of West Virginia, I had the luck to be permitted to hunt on private land. Had it to myself. Going into the woods, and sitting silently was an amazing thing. The late fall woods are alive with sound. Just sitting quietly, and listening was awesome!! Actually got a deer too. It was a little sad seeing it laying dead on the ground, but the venison lasted all winter. Steaks, roasts, chops, and ground meat. Very tasty!!
