I went to open up Shareaza last night and a box opened instead telling me that my version was a pre-release and that it had expired. It goes on to say that I need to download the "final " version at Shareaza.com. Well, I went to the site and there's no new version there.
So what's up? Anybody know? Has this happened to anyone else?
I've checked a few times today at the Shareaza site to no avail and looked at UTC,ZP & Slyck - Nothing. Before anyone asks what version I was running - 1.7.0.9.

Yes this happened to many people including my friend! All you have to do is reinstall the new Beta 1.7.0.9 if you didnt have it yet and it will work. It was a minor bug. Nothing special. THe final is supposedly coming soon. =D
:shy At the site it says 1.6? Thats a bit odd. I wil wait untill I hear a bit more before I make a move. In my opinion a download is a download. I will wait.
Fatboyslack54 - As posted before I did have 1.7.09 beta installed and it still won't let me open it much less install it. I keep getting that message that my version has expired and to download the"final" version at the Shareaza site.
Hunter: The site has the last beta version (1.7.0.9) but nothing else. Odd indeed. Peace Bro and tell the wife Hi & congrats from me.

OK - I tried a uninstall and re-install and the same thing. "expired version get the final"

Shareaza is great, I havn't used it lately because I've been using Zalzah, its a combination of a Gnucleus, Kazaa clone. If the "final" version of Shareaza comes out, I will definately look into it. If you havn't checked out Zalzah yet you should its great IMO.
i'm also having this shareaza problem. but anyways, Borgster, can you tell me a little more about Zalzah. i checked out there site but it doesn't have much info. i saw a screenshot of it, and ya it does look very similiar to kazaa. a little more info would help, another thing, is there a good amount of files/users? thanks.
sockfulloflove of course it has a lot of users its a gnucleus clone :hole the only bad thing about it is that it connects to g1, it would probably be better if it connects to g2. otherwise i like the program, has a theater like kazaa so you can play your tv episodes and all that good stuff. i guess you could say that this is an open source version of kazaa since it is so similar to kazaa.
