Private Trackers and Membership

It would appear that there are more persons clamouring for Membership of Private Trackers than can be handled by all of them put together. Seems to be a case of demand far exceeding the supply.

I am subscribed to over half a dozen Private Trackers and except for Demonoid and LeechersLair I am hardly able to do justice to the others. And in LeechersLair I am mainly active in their very excellent Forum and not in seeding or leeching. Just do enough to keep my subscription going in the rest.

What you get in one you get in the other and equally fast. So I am wondering why not opt out of this rat race for newer subscriptions. Or is it because I want to keep up with the Jones?

True enough. Most of the stuff I want, I can get on Demonoid and it's trouble enough maintaining a good ratio at 1 or 2 places without being subscribed to a ton of trackers.

Personally, I'd opt for a small number of high-quality general content sites (Demonoid, TL, Oink).

i use isohunt exclusively for torrents

but that is only when i cant find the thing i want on usenet

last resort is emule where the rarest files slowly creep towards ure hard disk

so i dont bother with ratios but i will seed any torrent 1-1

and i have upped files to usenet in the past

whatever works for u

i think u should be able to freeze ure account on some of those "private" sites so u can go back to it later
