This post from Moneoa pretty much sums up a prevalent feeling of mine as of late.

Is it me or are more and more new members posting useless crap in an effort to reach 20 posts so that they'll be able to trade? Sure, justice is usually swiftly dispensed in the form of neg rep, but we're still stuck with 20 worthless posts to wade through.

Is the 20 post minimum policy really benefiting the forum? Is it really doing what it's supposed to, i.e. allowing only worthy/responsible members to trade?

I know that some forums have time limits for access to trading. Has a time limit been considered?

A minimum rep policy is, imo, excellent. Minimum rep promotes quality contributions- it, to an extent, forces people to think before they speak. The 20 post minimum, though, tends to run counter productive to quality- speaking before thinking.

20 post limit, is both a good & bad rule. We want people to post so that we could get to know them first, but there's no way to stop someone before posting useless posts! Like the old saying, there's a rotten egg in a bunch sometimes. We, could only deal with it the best we can!

I am leary of suggesting things here, as I feel the staff does an excellent job. I mean how many forums has "Hunter" (way wicked!)?
...it makes me a tad nervous, but I will toss my 2 pennies in the air;

One thought to ponder would be a minimum of 20 word posts (for the first 20 posts)...in English (even if it's broken)...with at least an attempt to punctuate.

Cuz if u cant spel gud or punktewate, you dont nead to b postinore tradin.

(I mean, we do have spell-check enabled here. I should know)

P.S. (Guess I'm not) Delete said "Sh*t Posts."

Examples;
"I think so."
"I'm not sure."
"sceneaccess is open!"
"Good."
"Yeah."
"Me too."

So on and so forth...

You have no idea how tempting it is to go on massive deleting sprees when I see this happening.

As a mod and a zp member since 2003, I'd personally prefer if everything regarding BT trading were on a site completely disconnected from zeropaid.

Yeah, Ive alerted the FBI to this BT trading nonsense. They promised me they would get around to stopping it for me but thats like waiting for Jorge to fix anything around here. Perhaps they will simply seize the ZP host server and arrest these organized criminals. Thatll teach em to fuck up my forums!

BTW: As of late? Try the last 8 months. There is now a percentage of the net that thinks the zeropaid forum regulars are the biggest dicks in the universe. They might be right, too.

Anyway, I rather enjoyed the revolution that occurred. Nothing like a good 'ol fashioned shitstorm to keep things lively.

The 20 post shit sprees are easy to ignore. It's the ones who are on a 1000+ post shit spree that need to be dealt with.
