Should Zeropaid enable HTML in the lounge

I want to post youtube embeds in the lounge.
Why should animal kingdom type crap be in the news lounge
just because for some weird reason HTML is active in that section
    but not the lounge itself.

Should ZP allow HTML equally through out the site?

I don't think it should be openly available at all. Sorry man, there are bigger dicks than me.

Even then, I'd be embedding gems like this.

    http://break.com/index/dude-gets-bit...ge-spider.html

    Nobody wants to see that.

Is there that much of a security issue that the lounge needs to be 'protected' from html?

That spider bite video is just plain wrong.

Opening up html is cool, but trolls with a little googling could probably find a way to exploit it.

I concur, to some extent, with all (and absolutely with Pamela).
I would however, love to see HTML enabled. Heck, why not CSS too?
Then I would be up to par for school!

I have grown accustomed to BBCode, but it sort of screws me up to type in it all the time.
I know, I should be practicing HTML all summer, instead of goofing off...

I think it would be a bad idea to allow html. Some sites you can have these embedded videos auto play, and it would eat up alot of bandwidth.

People could attack threads they don't like by embedding a ton of these auto playing videos causing the thread to load extremely slow and not be viewable.

It would also make the site alot slower for anyone with slow connections.

    I'll concur. Sorry, moneoa.

I say yes, but... with a condition.

On another forum I happen to frequent, it is enabled, but for moderators only. Yes, it would create more work for the mods, but at the same time it would prevent the autoplay problem, and also make sure questionable content is not posted.

I dont see anything wrong with it. If you dont have high speed interent by now everything should be so slow it wouldnt matter anyways.

Most sites do not have videos set to autoplay so embedded video doent slow anything down at all. The video doesnt even start downloading until you click on it, just like any other link. Youtube, for example, does not autoplay.

I see nothing wrong with it. It would make for a more enjoyable forum IMO. Maybe put the rep system to use. Anyone with say 3000+ rep points could be trusted to post good content or their rep points would be cut.

I think 3000+ rep is a tad high.
Besides, I've read here and there that rep points mean essentially nothing at the end of the day.
If this is so, why would such a high figure be considered?
It might leave out some that would rather contribute in a meaningful way, other than words.

I was about to recommend a merit based system as well, although I'm with Helena- 3000 is a little high. How about setting a minimum rep AND a minimum number of posts (like the trading post, but much more stringent).
