Demonoid activation email!?

I signed up for demonoid using an invite i got like 4-5 days ago. Still haven't recieved an activation email. I've checked my bulk/spam folder several times. I'm using gmail. I even mailed the admin but recieved no response, I'm guessing they get a lot of mail.

Any idea what I could do? Or if anyone has any contacts in demonoid, if they could raise the issue to some admins?

you could try asking in the irc:

irc.p2p-network.net and join the channel #Demonoid

It shouldn't take that long. Either ask someone at Demonoid or get another invitation code.

I have the same problem. As of now, I have been waiting for my activation mail for a week already. Also emailed the admin but no replies. I signed up for other private sites with the same mail and never had any problems with them. After I realized I didn't receive any mails, I tried to sign up again but using another email...this time gmail just to see if it's my email that's the problem but I didn't get an activation mail for that either.

It's quite frustrating really. Waiting and waiting to finally have the chance to sign up for Demonoid but now I'm a member but just can't access it because I can't activate my account.

Will try the irc route and hope that works.

Hmm...I can't even get on irc.p2p-network.net

Tried to google for it and followed the ports given but still can't access anything. Am I doing something wrong here? Is there something I need to download in order to access it?

Is there any other way I can contact the staff at Demonoid since they don't reply to emails?

Would appreciate any help on this.

Try,

1. http://www.demonoid.com/chat/ using their java applet for your browser.
2. Use mIRC irc client or other irc client.

I dunno if it's still in effect, but Demonoid isn't working invites at the time being so thats probably why.

Well, I went on to the irc chat as suggested by DigitalJunkie. After fumbling about, managed to register for a nick and chatted with a few guys, one or two helpful, most not. Anyway, they told me that the admin hardly ever visits irc to chat so no one can really help me.

They advised me to email [email protected] which I already did last week but never received a reply. So just now I tried send another email hoping someday someone will reply to me before I get deactivated forever.

Zombieman, I hope it's really what you said and not my email addresses that are the problem. Whatever it is I can only hope it'll be solved soon. I googled for answers and found many people with the same problems as me so I think it might be Demonoid's servers cranking up because I never had problems registering to other private trackers with my primary email.

btw, does anyone of you know any free email services that never have problems receiving mails from Demonoid? Please list them here. If I'm desperate I'll sign up for them all and keep trying with different usernames to register to Demonoid...lol. *sigh*

I used pacific.net and Gmail but both didn't work. Couldn't use yahoo because they discouraged it.
