Downloading Movies
Hey people, just wondering if someone can help me.
I've just started using WinMX and I've successfully (but slowly)downloaded and couple of songs but I am getting nowhere with movies. I've tried for about three days to download the 'Resident Evil' movie but I just can't do it. Either I get I just get stuck in a never ending queue or they just don't work. I've downloaded about three or four so-called Resident Evil files but when I open them they are nothing to do with Resident Evil and are just songs that I didn't want downloaded.
Why is this?
Is there a way I can be sure I'm downloading what I want?
If anyone needs to know I have Windows ME and am connected to NTL Broadband.
Any thoughts or suggestions much appreciated!
Thanx!!

Go to this web site for files that are not fake & also download their MXlinx utility, it will speed up your downloads.

try getting k-lite at www.k-lite.com , its kazaa without spyware, i have found every movie i have ever wanted with ease, get version 2.00, not 2.02
then when you have that installed (sig2dat should have been installed also, if you still need it get it at http://sig2dat.tripod.com/ ), then head over to www.fasttrackmovies.com
they have a listing there of almost any movie you could want, click the link, the sig2dat program will automaticly que the movie in kazaa lite, restart k-lite, and sit back while it downloads, you shouldnt have a problem finding it, and ques arent as bad on kazaa

How long does it take?
Just wondering, does anyone know how long it should take for a movie to download?
I've been downloading Resident Evil for about 6 hours or more using Kazaa Lite and it still isn't complete yet!:mellow
Am I being impatient?

it depends on alot of things....
1)your connection speed. if your no 56 k, dont expect it for a while
2)how many peeps have it, and their speeds. if your getting it from one 56k user, your gonna wait a while, but if you get it from a dozen high speed users, it shouldnt take too long.
3)the size of the movie. if its one of those tmd movies that are like 300mb, then it shouldnt take too long. but if its a double 700mb avi dvd rip, itll take a while.
what is the percent downloaded? 6 hours isnt really all that bad for a movie, especially if its newer.

well, (assuming you have sig2dat also), just click on a the little sig2dat icon, then restart kazaa, it should be placed in your download que, after that, just sit back and watch it download
if you arent able to figure it out, there is a nice faq on their site, try that, it should be able to answer all of your questions
