can't do anything on shareaza
I can't download stuff on shareaza. It'll list the song I want, but then I can't download it. I heard this was supposed to be easy to use so I know i must be doing something wrong. What should I be doing?
oh yeah, my number of hosts keeps slowly rising then dropping sharply. I usually have maybe 1, 2 of 3 hosts, but once I saw it jump up to 100. Again, what should I be doing? Thanks

Remember its a beta so just because something doesnt work doesnt mean its your fault. If you wanted to you can try to find out why its causing it and see what the problem is so it can get fixed.
Is the file you getting off a firewalled host? That could be causing it.
As for the hosts connections being unstablei dunno whats up with that but i would think that its not suppose to be jumping like that you should get stable connections.

High Fidelity
Shareaza connects to hosts or hubs or whatever then drops them. That happens because Gnutella is the worst community ever. BTW I think Shareaza is getting worse everyday! Despite that G2 sh$t that everyone is been talking about! Oh ...wait..I have an idea. Use somehing else!!

Gnutella is also one of the most unique. All the other p2p networks are all closed networks so they dont have to worry about other programs.
"gnutella2" is still in beta and despite what people want to believe its not going to be perfect which is what people are assuming it is. With a small network of beta testers who run it a long time yes it was stable now that they essenctially unofficially released as a final with the beta label and as it grows and is subjected to normal gnutella network condititions its going to act differently than whats planned and because its so new i wouldnt be surprized if it becomes stable, it is a beta after all. That goes for any beta and more new stuff means more new bugs.. Some people seem to have forgotten that its a beta and got caught up with everything else.
