and dose any1 has the old, before the take over, 1.6.1 installer(not stand alone) on there PC please upload it cause http://utorrent.com cant be trusted anymore by me.
To do a "clean" install, get a reg. cleaner utility & clean your registry first! Then reboot your computer, to install uTorrent v1.6.1.

although it is the exact same thing as on utorrent.com. They did not change anything on the older version...
i have to do the samething
all you do is go to control panel and add and remove programs
remove utorrent 1.7.1
and then install 1.6. again
To be completely fair, the 'spying thing' is a more of an 'alleged spying thing,' and, at this point, unproven. Now should you choose to remove it because of the 'MPAA affiliation thing,' that is based solidly on facts.
I have the standalone version of 1.6.1 that I downloaded in early February. I just did some checking and utorrent and bittorrent joined forces in December. If you're really paranoid (I'm paranoid, but not that paranoid), go for 1.6.
im using 1.7.1 with no problems
oki got utorrent 1.6.1, but what build should I use? utorrent 1.6.1 built 488, or 489 or 490?
nice 1.6.1 rocks and the UI is more easy on my eyes.
