I am having the same problem.

Using Azureus yielded better results but I prefer utorrent as az using too much resources.

do you have a Router? if so you may need to foreward the port. check at the bottom of the utorrent window there will either be a green check mark, a yellow triangle with exclimation point, or a red X.

if you do not a have a router or are sure the port is forewarded properly then check to make sure that Windows Defender is not blocking it (Windows Defender is the firewall)

even try right clicking the uTorrent icon or shortcut and then click 'Run as administrator'

Hi, How Many torrents do you mean by multi torrent ? I faced the same problem when i tried to download 6 to 8 torrents at a time.
Instead of trying to explain, I will put up what uTorrent FAQ says :
Make sure you've used the Speed Guide and read the instructions carefully! Make absolutely sure you chose your UPLOAD speed in kilobits/s, not your download! Make sure you do not set too many upload slots OR connections per torrent. You should also try to never run more than 2-3 torrents. In general, an average 5mbit connection with 512kbit upload shouldn't have more than 90 connections per torrent, or more than 5 upload slots, especially if running more than one torrent. Experiment with these values depending on your connection speed. This is the most COMMON reason for torrents going slow, setting those options too high WILL make things slow down significantly! More connections does not mean faster speeds. Your best bet is to stick to the Speed Guide.
Where as the Speed Guide can be accessed from µTorrent -> CTRL + G .

    Hope this helps!

Diabloo try downloading the lastest 1.7 beta of utorrent plus what rex added. This should help if not try switching your port to a voip port like 1755. remember to forward ports

According to a system message that I just read on Bit Soup, utorrent 1.7 sends private info outside the tracker. If you're not DL anything copyrighted... then I'm sure you'll be fine. Otherwise, I'd stick to 1.6.1

Remember, utorrent was bought out by anti-p2p interests right after 1.6.1 was released, so any versions after that are highly questionable.

Yes, 1.6.1 is an amazing piece of software.

Regarding sites banning 1.7x, though... a few are, but I just came across one that alllows 1.7x (and 1.6) but bans 1.6.1!!! tvtorrents.ro. WTF?!

It's a shame too, because they have a nice selection of stuff. I guess maybe I could track down a copy of 1.6, but I'll be damned if I have to use azureus. I'm chomping at the bit for good TV torrents, but not chomping that hard.
